Ex-Convict Employment Policy

Monochrome Ex-Convict Employment Policy
Purpose
Monochrome believes in offering opportunities for reintegration into society through meaningful employment. This policy outlines our approach to hiring individuals with prior criminal convictions in a way that is fair, transparent, and prioritizes safety for our riders, drivers, and staff.
1. Equal Opportunity Commitment
Monochrome does not automatically disqualify individuals with criminal records from employment. All applicants will be considered based on merit, skills, and the relevance of any convictions to the role applied for.
2. Assessment Criteria
When evaluating candidates with a criminal record, the following will be taken into account:
The nature and severity of the offense
The time elapsed since the conviction or sentence
Rehabilitation efforts and references
The relevance of the offense to the role (e.g., financial crimes for finance roles, violent offenses for driver-facing roles)
Whether the role involves direct contact with vulnerable individuals or access to sensitive data
