DRIVER INDUCTION

1. Logging Into the Driver App

Once your Monochrome driver account has been activated, your login details will be sent to your registered email address.
These details include your email address and password.

To log in:

  1. Open the Monochrome Driver App.

  2. On the login screen, enter your email in the first box.

  3. Enter your password in the second box.

  4. Then tap ‘Login To My Account’.

If you ever forget your password, simply tap ‘Forgot password?’ to reset it.

2. Home Screen Overview

Once you log in successfully, you’ll land on your home screen.
Here, you’ll see your driver dashboard showing:

  • Customer Rating

  • Consistency Rating

  • Today’s Earnings

You’ll also see a map showing your current location.

To start receiving trips, just swipe the bar that says ‘Swipe to Go Online’.

3. Using the Heatmap (Demand Indicator)

On your home screen, you’ll notice a toggle switch at the top right corner of the map.
This switch turns the Heatmap on and off.

The Heatmap shows you areas with the highest rider demand using colored polygons.
These colors help you know where you’re most likely to get trip requests.

The colors mean:

  • Deep Red: Very high demand — fastest trip requests

  • Yellow: Medium demand

  • Clear/No Color: Low demand

Important:
The Heatmap polygons may not always appear directly on your current location.
So after turning the Heatmap ON, make sure you zoom out on the map using two fingers.
Zooming out allows you to see the full city and easily spot the red and yellow zones.

To use the Heatmap correctly:

  1. Turn it ON using the toggle.

  2. Zoom out to find busy areas.

  3. Move closer to red or yellow zones to increase your chances of getting trip requests.

  4. Turn it OFF anytime using the toggle.”

4. Bonuses: Weekly Targets & Driver Points

Monochrome offers two types of bonuses to help you earn more:
Short-term weekly bonuses and long-term driver points bonuses.

A. Short-Term Bonuses (Weekly Targets)

Every week, Monochrome sets a trip target you can complete to earn extra money.
For example, you may see a weekly target like:

‘Complete 15 trips this week and earn ₦25,000.’

You can find this by tapping the gold coin icon at the top of your home screen.
Here, you’ll see:

  • How many trips are required

  • How much you will earn

  • A progress bar showing how many trips you’ve already completed

These bonuses reset every week.

B. Long-Term Bonuses (Driver Points)

To access your long-term bonuses, open the menu by tapping the three lines at the top left of your screen.
Then tap ‘Driver Points’.

This is how it works:

  • You earn 1 point for every completed trip.

  • Points keep adding up over time.

  • When you reach 250 points, you earn ₦100,000.

Inside the Driver Points section, you’ll see:

  • How many points you need

  • How many points you currently have

  • A progress bar showing how close you are

This means while you’re doing your weekly 15 trips, you’re also building your long-term points.

5. Refer & Earn

In the menu, you’ll also find ‘Refer & Earn’.

This allows you to share your referral code or link with other drivers.
When a driver signs up with your code and completes their first trip, you get a referral bonus.

There is no limit — the more drivers you invite, the more you earn.”

6. Monochrome Topics (Help & Learning Articles)

At the bottom of the menu, you will find Monochrome Topics — a list of helpful articles created to help you earn more and improve your performance.

Some examples include:

  • A Guide to Becoming a 5-Star Rated Driver

  • Top Apps and Tools Every Monochrome Driver Should Know

Check them often to learn new ways to grow and improve.”

7. High-Demand Pickup & Drop-Off Locations

To get more trips, pay attention to high-demand areas.
You can find these in two ways:

Through the Heatmap:

Red and yellow zones show where many riders are making requests.

Through common busy areas:

These include:

  • Central business district

  • Wuse 2

  • Maitama

  • Utako

  • Gwarimpa

After finishing a trip in a busy area, stay around — you might get another request quickly.
