Staying Safe

How to Stay Safe During Your Ride: Tips for Passengers with Monochrome
At Monochrome, your safety is our top priority. We believe that every passenger should feel secure, comfortable, and in control while riding with us. Whether you're heading to work, meeting friends, or exploring a new part of town, we've put together some essential safety tips to help you stay protected during your journey. Here’s how to make sure every ride with Monochrome is a safe and smooth experience.
1. Verify Your Ride Before Getting In
Before you step into a Monochrome vehicle, take a few moments to double-check that you’re getting into the right car:
- Check the Car Details: Always confirm that the car’s make, model, and license plate match the information displayed in the Monochrome app.
- Verify the Driver: Check the driver’s name and photo to ensure they match the details provided in the app. If anything seems off, don’t hesitate to contact Monochrome’s customer support team.
- Ask for Your Name: A good practice is to ask the driver to say your name before getting into the car. The driver should know your name, and this quick check ensures you're getting into the correct vehicle.
This simple verification process goes a long way in ensuring that you’re safely riding with your Monochrome driver.
2. Keep Everything In-App (Payments & Messaging)
For your security, handle the whole ride through Monochrome:
Pay only in the app: Don’t use unknown payment methods unless the app explicitly supports it in your city.
Use in-app message: This masks personal numbers and keeps a record if something needs reviewing.
Avoid off-platform requests: Decline offers to “go off the app,” this will mean you don't get the protections of all the safety features of the app. Report it via support.
